Different in an Indifferent World

I chose to be completely fearless...

If we were all able to live in our Heartspace, in every moment of every day, what kind of world would this be?

I learned a new word this week. Not only did it increase my vocabulary, but it also helped me to understand a little of what I'm feeling right now. That feeling of being just... not... quite... there... yet...?

“To everything there is a season. And a time to every purpose under heaven.” And yes my friends, humidity too has its purpose...

“Water is the most powerful of elements for it can move around any obstacle in its path without losing its essential nature. Water can, in time, dissolve the hardest mountains.”

In a world that seems to be obsessed with "self improvement" we are constantly expected to be more, do more, learn more, earn more, exercise more, achieve more and experience more. When sometimes what we really need to do is to just BE. To be still.

Several years ago, I had the somewhat life-changing experience of spending Thanksgiving in the USA. What follows is a little vignette that I recorded at the time. And to my dear, sweet American friends… please know that I’m really not making fun of you (much). I’m sure you would be equally baffled by some of our Australian traditions.

I walked in to find that everything had been moved. Absolutely everything. No exceptions. Where I would normally walk in and start my express tour by grabbing a few bags of organic coffee there was fruit and vegetables! I froze, I broke into a cold sweat and my head started spinning. Noooooooooooo!
