Welcome to The Blue Horizon - a gentle, spacious collection of 21 solo piano pieces, composed over the last 2 years. I created this album in 3 parts – 3 “suites” of music, which were composed in 3 vastly different settings. Each was a unique and beautiful journey, and each one opened up a new dimension in my music...
Suite #1 – The Awakening was composed when I moved to First Bay on the Sunshine Coast, Australia.
Suite #2 – The Experience was composed when I journeyed to the Simpson Desert in Outback Australia.
Suite #3 – The Knowing was composed in the mountains, forests and coastal areas of the northern coast of NSW, Australia.

I'll be honest, I was VERY nervous about interpreting a song by Tori Amos. Not only is she a unique and powerful artist, she is also an incredible pianist. But my love for and connection with this track overcame my fear in the end. I focused on the wistful, reflective nature of the song, slowed it down a little and tried to play with as much gentleness and sensitivity as I could.
For me, this contemplative track totally captures the winter season. I imagine a cold frosty day, someone looking out of a window at the snow and reflecting on their life and relationships. A winter of the soul.
