I created this album to help you to find your own “Quietening” … the place that you go to just for yourself. Musically, it is gentle, soothing and serene, but also melodic. It has become my most successful album so far. The Quietening was created during several writing retreats in some of the places close to my home on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland that most inspire me - the ancient forests of the Bunya Mountains, a mud brick cottage on a hill in the Noosa Hinterland, watching the sunrise over the Glasshouse Mountains and in my home studio overlooking the ocean.
